You can't see it now, but this 'no' was a blessing.
A chance for something better.
Some of the best athletes, directors, actors and world leaders were turned away time and time again for the very thing they were called to do.
Someday your name will be added to the list.
Someday you'll accept your Emmy or Academy Award for best show or best screenplay and you'll use the very moment you're going through now as proof of what it looks like to keep going even when it hurts, even when no one else seems to think your dreams make sense, even when you can't see the streets through the fog.
You will stand up on that stage or whatever platform you're on and wave that trophy for everyone who was always on your side. The ones who rallied for you and listened through the tears and frustrations day after day, when it felt like there was no end in sight, and told you that this was just a bump in the road. Because they always saw the greatness that your vision had blurred.
Some people never take a risk and die with potential inside of them. That's not going to be you. Because you're going to keep writing, keep pushing, keep dreaming. Even if it kills you. Even if you never actually see the Promised Land. Because that's what faith is.
God has not brought you this far for you to sit on the sidelines now, just because you're tired. You're just getting started. Use this. Dive right in. Write the thing. Record the podcast. Stay up too late thinking of ideas, because someday time is going to run out. And you don't want to get to the end of your life and wonder 'what if I'd just given it a shot?'
Pick yourself up and start again. NOW. The world is waiting.
That's all for now,
Shelby
