As I’ve started getting further into my career and my life (being in the late 20-somethings category now), I’ve been surrounded with incredibly brilliant, talented, kind, creative, determined, encouraging women. Some from church and others from the business world. Women who are passionate, brave, aren’t afraid to speak their minds, take a risk, put their families first, have the hard discussions, or just laugh over a cup of coffee and a heart to heart.

When I look at around at my family, friends, coworkers or people I know by association and have been able to “meet” through social media, I’m in awe of what women can do. As Beyoncé points out, we really do indeed “run the world.”

I think the world needs more reminders of the beauty of friendships, setting goals, shooting for the stars, enjoying the little things, taking time to pause and reflect, picking up a new hobby, traveling to a new place, making a connection with a stranger or simply just embracing who we are.
