This is Life...This is Us.
Like everyone else in the country, I, too, am a fan of the hit NBC show, "This is Us." The characters. The writing. The way it makes me think about my own life and family. Even the way it makes me cry on the couch just about every Tuesday night. I was hooked from the very first episode the night it originally aired on NBC.
It has become something that my mom and I both look forward to watching together every week. There aren't too many shows on television that are family-oriented, necessarily, but this is absolutely one. It hits you like no other show on television does, or maybe ever has. The way it uses time, both in past and present day, is something special. As a writer, it captivates me and is something I aspire to do with my own work someday.
If you know me, you also know I am a big fan of finding the filming locations from my favorite movies and TV shows. A few weeks ago, my parents and I went to LA to find a few of the houses used on the show. While "This is Us" primarily films on the backlot of Paramount Studios, they also shoot on location for the exterior house shots around Los Angeles.

It's such a special show! Looking forward to season 3 in the fall.
